Welcome
to Gwynfryn Bed and Breakfast Conwy
|
Gwynfryn Bed and Breakfast ( B&B
) accommodation is a large 134 year old Victorian Conwy
property which has been lovingly renovated into a 4 Star
Boutique Guest House offering beautifully decorated comfortable
bed and breakfast ( B&B ) accommodation within the historical
town walls of Conwy.
In January 2008 Gwynfryn Bed and Breakfast ( B&B) won
the prestigous 'Travelers 2008 Choice' award from the independent
travelers review site 'Tripadvisor' after achieving 8th
Best B&B in Euorpe, full details can be seen by clicking
on the above Tripadvisor icon and following the link.
This was followed in May by an invite from Her Majesty the
Queen to attend a reception at Buckingham Palace for the
British Hospitality Industry. We were honoured to attend
and meet the Queen and other members of the Royal family
then we mingled with the other 350 guests including Sir
Rocco Forte, Gordon Ramsey and many more influential personalities
from the British Hopsitality Industry.

Our guest house is ideally
situated within the heart of Conwy town just off
Lancaster Square. Close to all amenities, attractions
and both the train station & local bus route.
Conwy is the perfect base for visiting all of North
Wales including Snowdonia, Anglesey, Caernarfon,
Llandudno, Deganwy and Betws-y-Coed but to name
a few.
Most famous for the magnificent Conwy Castle built
by Edward I between 1283 - 1287 and also designated
a World Heritage Site, Conwy can truly lay claim
to being one of the finest remaining medieval walled
towns. With a wealth of attractions that span the
ages, events galore and a wide range of shops and
restaurants all within a short walk.

Gwynfryn (the name of which loosely translated means white
hill) was built in 1873 as a residence for superintendent
preacher for the Wesleyan Methodists Church, which is situated
to the rear of the property. We purchased Gwynfryn December
2003 as a run down residential accommodation before transforming
it into a B&B Guest House over the following two years
becoming a fully operational Bed & Breakfast ( B&B
) in August 2005. |
|
Our
bed and breakfast ( B&B ) accommodation consists
of five rooms which have been tastefully furnished
in their own unique style. All of which have en-suite
facilities except for one room which has its own separate
private bathroom. All rooms include remote control
colour TV with integrated DVD player, complementary
beverage tray, mini fridge, electric fan, hairdryers,
complementary toiletries and benefit from wireless
broadband (wi-fi enabled). We also have an internet
access point available upon request.
The luxurious Rouge Room also includes a king size
wooden bed, open beams and a large en-suite bathroom
including a free standing Victorian roll top bath
